This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Petitioners in this writ petition prays for a direction to Opposite Party No.3, namely, Executive Engineer, CDD-II, TPCODL, Badambadi, Cuttack to disconnect power supply to the premises of the Petitioners situated over Plot No.1619/3514 under Khata No.376/691, Plot No.1619/3515 under Khata No.736/692 and Plot No.1619/3516 under Khata No.736/693 of mouza Cuttack Sahar, Unit-29, Chauliaganj, Holding No.19 of CMC, Cuttack.

Taking into consideration the submission made by learned counsel for the Petitioner, this Court issued notice to Opposite Party Nos.2 to 5. In response, Mr. Nath, learned counsel for TPCODL filed counter affidavit of Opposite Party Nos. 2 to 4 in which it is specifically averred that power supply has already been disconnected to the aforesaid premises on 29th August, 2022 (Annexure-C/2 to the counter affidavit).

Mr. Sarangi, learned counsel for the Petitioners, however, submits that after disconnection of power supply, the occupants of the said building by adopting unfair means have taken power supply to the said premises.

In view of the submissions made above, it is clear that the prayer made in this writ petition has already been worked out by TPCODL. Hence, nothing remains to be adjudicated in this writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, if the Petitioners have any further grievance, may work out their remedy in accordance with law.
