This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard Mr. S. Satapathy, learned counsel appearing on instruction of Mr. B. Jalli, learned counsel for the Petitioner. 3.
As per our direction, Mr. S.S. Kanungo, learned Government Advocate appearing for the State has produced the status report in respect of the Khordha Sadar P.S. Case No.113 dated 25.06.2022 whereunder the so-called case of kidnapping of the victim, whose name is withheld for protecting her identity, was registered.

It has been recorded in the status report that on 27.07.2022, the victim appeared in the Office of the SDPO, Khordha with one escort, namely, Birendra Mallik whom the victim identified as her husband. The victim produced one certificate of marriage. The marriage certificate has been verified by the police. The copy of the said certificate is also produced with the status report. Investigating Officer recorded
her statement under Section 161 of the Cr.P.C. on 27.07.2022 and made the arrangement for recording her statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. by the S.D.J.M., Khordha. The copy of the statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. as recorded by the S.D.J.M., Khordha has been enclosed with the status report for our perusal.

It appears from the record that the victim is major and she attained the marriageable age. As such, this petition cannot be sustained any more. We close the proceeding by ways of disposing the petition.

It is ordered accordingly.
