This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

This writ petition has been filed by the Financer, namely, HDB Financial Services Ltd. for release of vehicle bearing registration No.JH-02-AU-4460 (TATA LPT 3718) in favour of the Petitioner.

It is submitted by Mr. Khatua, learned counsel for the Petitioners that the vehicle has been detained by IIC, Champua PS without any justification and is kept in the campus of Champua PS. The IIC demands illegal gratification for release of the said vehicle.

Taking into consideration the submission of learned counsel for the Petitioners, this Court directed learned State Counsel to take instruction in the matter. Mr. Mishra, learned AGA on receipt of written instruction dated 21st September, 2022 submits that the aforesaid vehicle is neither lying in the premises of Champua PS nor any case is registered in respect of

// 2 // the said vehicle. Thus, the allegation of the Petitioner is baseless.
