This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode. 2.
The Contempt Petition stands adjourned to 11th July, 2022.

Now an application for joining the proceeding as intervenors and recalling the positive direction issued on 5th May, 2022 has been filed.

At the oral request of counsel for the parties, the date of hearing of the contempt petition is pre-poned from 11th July, 2022 and with their consent to be taken up today itself for disposal along with applications.

Mr. A.P. Bose, counsel for the intervenors points out that in another writ petition bearing W.P.(C) No.13934 of
// 2 // 2015, an interim direction stands passed by learned Single Judge directing that holding the election for the Puri District Athletic Association would be conducted only after finalizing/publishing the voter list.

It is submitted that the order dated 5th May, 2022 be modified to the extent that the elections be conducted after finalizing and publishing the voter list.

The submission is not only reasonable but correct; and also accepted by the counsel for the parties. Accordingly, we direct the Collector, Puri to proceed to first finalize and publish the voter list and thereafter conduct the election for the office bearers of the association in accordance with law, within the time limit, as projected.
Accordingly, I.As. and contempt petition are disposed of to the aforesaid extent.
Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
