This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

This is an application under Section 439 Cr.P.C. filed by the Petitioner for bail in connection with Handapa P.S. Case No.06 of 2021, corresponding to C.T.(S) No.11 of 2021 pending in the file of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Athmallik, for commission of alleged offences under Sections 302/34 I.P.C. 3.

Heard learned counsel for both the parties. Perused the case records.

Considering the nature and gravity of offences alleged against the Petitioner, this Court is not inclined to release the Petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the bail application of the Petitioner stands rejected. However, this Court directs the trial court to make an endeavor to expedite the trial of the case and conclude the same preferably within a period of six months from the date of this order.
