This Writ Petition involves the following prayer:- "It is, therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit the writ petition, issue show cause notices to the Opp. Parties and after hearing may direct the Opp. Party No.4 to allow the petitioner to vend stamps near the campus of Tahasil Office, Sadar, Cuttack for the interest of justice.

And may pass such other writ/ writs, order/ orders, direction/ directions, as deem fit and proper;"

Taking this Court to the document at Annexure-1 learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that it is only on the basis of instruction from the concerned Tahasildar the Petitioner submitted an affidavit indicating no difficulty in having the vending transaction outside the campus of the Tahasil.

This matter was entertained on 29.08.2022 and while directing the Petitioner to serve an extra copy of the brief on the

// 2 // learned State Counsel this Court also directed the learned State Counsel to obtain instruction in the matter. Today on instruction Mr. Panda, learned State Counsel submitted that there is no place inside the Office premises to accommodate the Petitioner. However, the Tahasildar has also no objection, if the Petitioner operates her vending outside the campus of the Office and it is open to the Petitioner to have her own arrangement in getting into vending operation.

Considering that the Petitioner is a woman and if she has already got a stamp vending license, this Court directs, in the event she approaches the Public Body for allocation of small piece of land for putting a cabin for the purpose, such request may be considered favourably.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of, but with the observation hereinabove.
