This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

This is an application under Section 439 Cr.P.C. filed by the Petitioner for bail in connection with Purushottampur P.S. Case No.147 of 2019, corresponding to G.R. Case No.139 of 2019, in S.T. Case No.168 of 2019 pending in the file of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Chatrapur, for commission of alleged offences under Sections 498-A/302/304-B I.P.C.

Heard learned counsel for both the parties. Perused the case records.

Considering the nature and gravity of offences alleged against the Petitioner, this Court is not inclined to release the Petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the bail application of the Petitioner stands rejected. However, this Court directs that the trial court to make an endeavor to expedite the trial of the case and conclude the

// 2 // same preferably within a period of six months from the date of this order. Liberty is also granted to the Petitioner to renew his prayer in the event the trial of the case is not completed within the stipulated time.
