This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The writ was filed on behalf of the minor, aged 6 years, represented through her father guardian, challenging the rejection of admission of Std-I in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ambapua (opposite party no.4) for the academic Sessions 2020-21.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the child had applied through her father guardian in three Kendriya Vidyalayas under the Kendirya Vidyalaya Sangathan under the Regional Office at Bhubaneswar and was selected through lottery to be candidate in Kendirya Vidyalaya, Berhampur, but did not get admission.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner may be allowed to pursue the remedy before the appropriate authority-opposite party nos.2 to 4, i.e., Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sangathan inasmuch as the petitioner during pendency of the writ petition has prosecuted further study and is continuing in Std-III now.

// 2 // Learned counsel for opposite party nos.2 to 4 submits that any application seeking admission to a particular class shall be duly considered by the authorities in accordance with law and the guidelines as notified from time to time.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of with the observation that if the petitioner through her parents, applies for admission to the Kendriya Vidyalaya, the same shall be considered in accordance with law as per existing guidelines. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
