This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The Petitioners in this writ petition pray for a direction for early disposal of M.A.C. No. 601 of 2018 pending before learned 2nd M.A.C.T., Cuttack filed under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

Ms. Nayak, learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that although the matter is at the stage of recording of the evidence, learned Tribunal is not proceeding with the matter to dispose of M.A.C. No.601 of 2018 at an early date for which the Petitioners, who are claimants, are highly prejudiced. 4.

On perusal of the order sheet annexed to the writ petition as Annexure-2, it appears that since 28th February, 2022, none is appearing to pursue the matter. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant the prayer made in this writ petition at this stage. It is, however, observed that in the event the Petitioners co-operate with learned Tribunal for early disposal of M.A.C. No. 601 of 2018, learned Tribunal shall do well to proceed with the matter

// 2 // in accordance with law and make an endeavour for early disposal of the same, if there is no legal impediment. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
