IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK

W.P.(C) No. 19983 of 2022 P. Pruthivi Kumar Patro and others .....

Petitioners Mr. S.P. Das, Advocate Vs.

State of Odisha and others .....

Opposite Parties Mr. J. Patnaik, GA

CORAM:

DR. JUSTICE B.R. SARANGI

ORDER

24.08.2022 Order No.

01.

This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2.

Heard Mr. S.P. Das, learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. J. Patnaik, learned Government Advocate.

The Petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking to quash the notices/process of eviction initiated against the Petitioners. 4.

Pursuant to the agreement executed between the parties, the Petitioners were allowed to continue from 01.03.2020 to 28.02.2021 on payment of monthly rent admissible to the authorities. But it is contended that they are still continuing by paying the rend. But nothing has been placed on record, whether the license which was granted in favour of the Petitioner has been extended or not, save an except the documents under Annexure-1 series, which contains the license deed for use of shop room of Berhampur Municipal Corporation, Berhampur, Dist-Ganjam.

5.

In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to entertain this Writ Petition, because the period for which the license was

granted has already been expired with effect from 28.02.2021. Accordingly the Writ Petition merits no consideration and the same stands dismissed.
