Heard Mr. R.K. Behera, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 2.
According to Mr. R.K. Behera, the grievance of the petitioner is that despite registration of F.I.R. in Badambadi P.S. Case No. 204 of 2022 against the husband of the petitioner under Sections-498-A/294/506 of the I.P.C read with Section-4 of the D.P. Act, 1961, however, till date the Investigating Agency has neither arrested the accused nor has taken any action to recover the gift materials from the husband of the petitioner. 3.
Mr. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that for redressal of such type of grievances, the petitioner should have approached the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cuttack (Opposite Party No.2) instead of rushing to this Court. 4.
In such background, Mr. Behera, submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to approach the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cuttack (Opposite Party No.2) by filing a grievance petition for redressal of her grievances. He further submits that, the
said Opposite Party be directed to take a decision on such grievance petition of the petitioner within a specific time period. 5.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file a grievance before the Opposite Party No.2 within a period of two weeks from today along with a certified copy of this Order by Registered Post. In the event, such a petition received by the Opposite Party No.2, he is directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of grievance petition and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.
