Heard Mr. Tripathy, learned counsel on behalf of Mr. G.S. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel.

According to Mr. Tripathy, though the petitioner lodged the F.I.R. against the accused persons including one Mr. Ashis Kumar Nayak under Annexure-1 Series, however, while registering the F.I.R. the said Ashis Kumar Nayak has not been shown as an accused. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances the petitioner has sent a grievance petition dated 26.07.2022 under Annexure-3 to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cuttack (Opposite Party No.2) through Speed Post on the same day, however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the said Opposite Party to take a decision on such petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Opposite
Party No.2 to take a decision on the grievance petition of the petitioner under Annexure-3 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 5.
The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.
