01. 1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement Order No (Virtual/Physical) Mode.

2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the Opposite Parties.

3. The Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:- "Under the above circumstances, it si humbly prayed that the writ Petition may be allowed;

(A) A writ of mandamus or an appropriate writ may be issued quashing the impugned order of rejection dated 26.07.2022 under annexure-7 so also the order of transfer dated 13.06.2022 issued by the Fire Officer, Central Range, Cuttack under Annexure-3 and necessary direction may be made to the Opposite Parties to allow the Petitioner to continue at Chauliaganj Fire Station where he is continuing now or in any other Fire Station at Cuttack as vacancies are available, in terms of Fire Service Circular Order No. 12 of 2020 as he has not completed six years of service in one place within a time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court; (B) And any other order/orders or direction/direction may be issued so as to give complete relief to the Petitioner;

// 2 // And for this act of kindness, the Petitioner shall as in duty bound remain ever pray."

4. Learned counsel for the Petitioner further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed an application at Annexure-11 to the Writ Petition before the O.P. No.2, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, learned counsel for the Petitioner prays that a direction be issued to Opposite Party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted Petition within a specific time period.

5. Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs Opposite Party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of one (1) from today and communicate the result of such exercise to the Petitioner.
