Heard Mr. M. Padhi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 2.
According to Mr. Padhi, the petitioner is aggrieved by the non-registration of his F.I.R., i.e. Dhenkanal Sadar P.S. Case No.337 of 2022 under appropriate provisions of law. According to him, the F.I.R. should also have been registered for commission of offence under Section 307 I.P.C. in the facts and circumstances of the case. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances, the petitioner has approached the Superintendent of Police, Dhenkanal (opposite party no.2) by sending a grievance petition dated 04.08.2022 under Annexure-3 series through Registered Post however, till date no action has been taken on the same. In such background, she prays that necessary direction be given to opposite party no.2 to take a decision on the said grievance petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without
// 2 // expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Dhenkanal (opposite party no.2) to take a decision on the above noted grievance petition dated 04.08.2022 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been already disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 4.
The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
