Heard learned counsel for Petitioner and learned counsel for the State-Opposite Parties.

The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) Direct the opp. party no.4 to consider his case for promotion to the cadre of Establishment Officer in the District Establishment, Cuttack by holding the DPC by considering his representation in Annexure-4 and pass such other order (s) as deemed fit and proper in the bona fide interest of justice and fair play". 4.

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on 18.07.2022 at Annexure-4 to the Writ Petition, before the opposite party No.4 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.4 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.4 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
