Heard Mr.K.K.Jena, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.R.Dash, learned Addl. Government Advocate. 3.

According to Mr.Jena, the petitioner is aggrieved by inaction of the authorities in releasing the compensation amount though his land i.e. Plot No. 340 under Khata No. 177/49 covering an area Ac.0.20 dec., Plot No. 342 under Khata 117 covering an area Ac.0.10 dec. and Plot No. 340/1016 under Khata No. 117/82 covering an area Ac.0.20 dec. of Mouza Natra have been acquired for construction of approach road of HL Bridge over river Kani at Kusumi on RD road to Kusumi in the district of Kendrapara. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances the petitioner has approached the Executive Engineer, Rural Works Division No.II, Kendrapara (opposite party No.3) on 30.6.2021 under Annexure-4 by filing a representation sent through

// 2 // registered post but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the representation under Annexure-4 within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Executive Engineer, Rural Works Division No.II, Kendrapara (opposite party No.3) to take a decision on the said representation in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly the writ petition is disposed of. 6.

Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
