This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The Petitioner in this writ petition prays for a direction to the Chief Managing Director, MCL, Burla, Sambalpur to allow her to retain the quarters allotted in the name of her husband, namely, Prasant Kumar Barik.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the husband of the Petitioner is an employee of MCL and has been allotted with Qr. No.M/674, Bandhabahal Colony in the district of Jharsuguda. Since the husband of the Petitioner is not residing in the said quarters, the authorities are contemplating to evict her. The Petitioner has no other accommodation. Hence, she has submitted a representation to the Chief Managing Director, MCL, Burla to consider her case and allow her to retain the said quarters.

Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, this Court is of the considered opinion that since the quarter is not allotted in the name of the Petitioner, she cannot make any prayer to

// 2 // retain the said quarter. In that view of the matter, the prayer made in this writ petition being misconceived cannot be granted. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
