In compliance of our direction dated 30th November, 2022, Mr. Alok Kumar Kar, I.A.S, Director (R &R)-cum-Joint/Addl. Secretary to Govt. of Odisha, Water Resources Department is present in Court today. The explanation offered by him in delaying the compliance of the orders passed by this Court not only in the original Writ Petition but also in the Contempt Petition No.5315 of 2022 has been accepted to be reasonable and therefore the delay is condoned. He is also placed on record a letter dated 3rd December, 2022 whereby the admissible amounts towards enhanced compensation have been shown to have been sanctioned and would be released to the petitioner upon submission and verification of the documents to be supplied. The aforesaid letter is kept on record.
