This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

This appeal is directed against the order dated 13,08.2021 passed by the learned Presiding Officer, Special Court, under the SC & ST (POA) Act, Cuttack in C.T.Case No.44 of 2021 corresponding to Lalbag P.S.Case No.75 of 2021 thereby rejecting the prayer for bail of the appellant.

Heard learned counsel for the appellant, learned counsel appearing for the State and the victim girl, who appears through virtual mode.

Perused the case record as well as the statements of witnesses. 5.

After examining the evidence and hearing the learned counsel for the parties as well as the victim girl, I am not inclined to interfere with the order passed by the learned court below. 6.

Accordingly, the CRLA is dismissed.

However, it is directed that the Presiding Officer, Special Court under the SC & ST (POA) Act, Cuttack is directed to conclude the trial in C.T.No.44 of 2021 as expeditiously as possible preferably

// 2 // within a period of four months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

Issue urgent certified copy as per Rules.
