Heard Mr. S.Roy, learned counsel for Petitioner and Mr. R.N.Mishra, learned Addl. Government Advocate for the StateOpposite Parties. 3.

The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) Why the action of the Opposite Parties in not granting enhanced Grade Pay of Rs.2800/-in favour of the petitioner from the date Fakir Mohan Pradhan junior to the petitioner was so granted in the facts and circumstances of the case will not be declared as illegal;

(ii) Why the Opposite Parties will not be directed to sanction and disburse enhanced Grade Pay of Rs.2800/- in favour of the petitioner from the date Fakir Mohan Pradhan junior to the petitioner was so granted, within a stipulated time".

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on 04.12.2021 at Annexure-6 to the Writ Petition, before the opposite party No.1 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a

// 2 // direction be issued to opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period. 5.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
