According to Mr.Panigrahi though from Plot No. 1817 of Mouza Samanga in the district of Puri covering an area Ac.0.060 dec. which stood recorded in the name of the petitioner, the Government has only acquired Ac.0.045 dec. of land and paid compensation but the rest of the area of the said plot left with him has become useless as the same is going to be merged in the water channel proposed to be constructed appertaining to the said land. Accordingly he cannot utilize the balance land for any purpose. He further submits that though highlighting his grievances, he has filed a representation on 2.2.2021 before the Collector, Puri (opposite party No.2) under Annexure-4 requesting him to acquire the balance land but till date nothing has been done. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above representation under Annexure-4 within a specific time period. 4.

Considering the submissions made and without

// 2 // expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Collector, Puri (opposite party No.2) to take a decision on the above noted representation under Annexure-4 in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to petitioner.

Accordingly the writ petition is disposed of. 6.

As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned advocate, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No. 4587, dated 25th march, 2020, modified by Notice No. 4798, dated 15th April, 2021, and Court's Office Order circulated vide memo Nos. 514 and 515 dated 7th January, 2022.
