This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The Petitioner in this writ petition prays for a direction to the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission, BhubaneswarOpposite Party No.2 to issue necessary direction for payment of compensation of Rs.4,00,000/- to the Petitioner due to death of her husband, namely, Rajakishore Parida on account of electrocution.

In course of hearing, Mr. Nayak, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that interest of justice will be best served, if a direction is made to the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission, Bhubaneswar-Opposite Party No.2 to take a decision on his complaint dated 25th February, 2022 (Annexure2). It is his submission that the matter is still pending before the Opposite Party No.2 and there is no legal impediment to take a final decision on the same.

In view of the above, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case of the Petitioner, disposes of

// 2 // the writ petition with a direction that the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission, Bhubaneswar-Opposite Party No.2 shall make an endeavour for early disposal of the complaint of the Petitioner, if any pending before it.
