This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner.

This is an application under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed by the Petitioner for bail in connection with Kuakhia P.S.Case No.97 of 2018, corresponding to C.T. Case No.257 of 2018, pending in the Court of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Jajpur for alleged commission of offence under Sections 498A/302 of the Indian Penal Code.. 4.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner does not want to press this bail application and wants to withdraw the same at this juncture and prays that the trial court be directed to expedite the trial and the same be concluded within a stipulated period of time. He further submits that out of 12 witnesses, seven witnesses have already been examined. However, the progress is very slow. 5.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, while disposing of the bail application of the Petitioner as withdrawn, this Court directs the

// 2 // trial court to make an endeavour to expedite trial and conclude the same within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
