This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as learned counsel for the State.

During course of hearing, learned counsel for the Petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the bail application with liberty to renew his prayer at a later stage.

In such view of the matter, the bail application is disposed of as withdrawn. However, this Court directs that the trial court to make an endeavor to expedite the trial in G.R. Case No.70 of 2020, in connection with Bhanjanagar P.S. Case No.40 of 2020 and conclude the same preferably within a period of four months from the date of this order. In the event trial has not been completed within the stipulated time, it is open for the Petitioner to renew his prayer and file fresh application. In such event, the trial court shall consider the prayer of the Petitioner in accordance with law.

The BLAPL is disposed of with liberty as prayed for. 6.
