The petitioner passed the Annual H.S.C. Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education in the year 2020. It is her case that in the mark sheet issued by the Board, the name of her parents has been wrongly mentioned inasmuch as instead of "G. Rushikesh Reddy", the name of her father is stated "G. Hrusikes Reddy". Instead of "G. Lola Reddy", the name of her mother has been wrongly mentioned as "G. Lata Reddy". The petitioner after coming to know of the above brought it to the notice of the Secretary, Board of Secondary Education by submitting a representation on 18.12.2020, enclosed as Annexure-2 to the writ petition with request to effect necessary correction to the certificates. She also served notice through her Advocate on the Principal of the concerned School, in which she was a student, and also on the District Education Officer and the Secretary of Board of Secondary Education on 15.12.2021. Again, she appears to have submitted a representation addressed to the Headmaster of the Sivananda Sisu Mandir on 19.04.2022.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that no action has been taken in the matter as yet. In support of her claim regarding incorrect depiction of her parent's name, the petitioner has enclosed copies of her Birth Certificate and Aadhar Card of her father, enclosed as Annexures- 4 and 5 respectively. An extract from the Admission Register has also pressed into service in this regard.

Considering the nature of grievance of the petitioner and the fact that the matter appears to be pending before the Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (Opp.Party No.1) to consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law after granting opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order or on production of certified copy thereof by the petitioner. 5.

Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
