It has been stated by Mr. S.S. Kanungo, learned Additional Government Advocate that the victim (wife of the Petitioner) has been rescued on 23.07.2022.

The victim is an adult lady. She may live at her choice. At this juncture, Mr. A.K. Ray, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner prays leave of this Court to permit the Petitioner withdraw this petition having regard to the subsequent event. The prayer stands allowed.

This writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn.
