Heard learned counsel for Petitioners and learned counsel for the State-Opposite Parties.

The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(i) The Petitioners, therefore pray this Hon'ble Court be graciously pleased to admit this writ petition, issue notice to the Opp.Parties especially Opp.Party No.2 and 3 and issue Rule NISI as to why the present petitioners shall not be paid the Revised scale of pay as per the 6th pay commission report with effect from 01.01.2006 instead of 01.01.2011 as the counterpart in other R.M.C., performing and discharging similar duties are availing revised scale of pay as per the 6th pay commission and if Opp. Parties failed to show cause or insufficient cases, then this Hon'ble Court after hearing the parties be pleased to issue in the nature of mandamus and direct the Opp. Party No.2 and 3 to implement Orissa Revised Scale of Pay Rules, 2008 (as per 6th pay commission) to the employees of the R.M.C., Dunguripali with effect from 01.01.2006 and release the arrear salary with effect from 01.01.2006 to 31.12.2010".

Learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that through highlighting their grievances, the petitioners have filed a representation on 03.06.2019 at Annexure-6 to the Writ Petition, before the opposite party No.2 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, they pray that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioners.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
