The matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard Ms. K. Patra, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. B. Panigrahi, learned Additional Standing Counsel for Opposite Party - State.

This is an application under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of bail to the Petitioner Dinabandhu Moharana @ Dandu in connection with Odagaon P.S. Case No.124 of 2019 corresponding to G.R. Case No.191 of 2019 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C., Odagaon for alleged commission of offence under Sections 457/395/294/506 of I.P.C. and under Section 25/27 of the Arms Act. 4.

After hearing both parties and considering the evidence of P.W.1, the informant and his wife P.W.2 as well as the unambiguous identification of the Petitioner and his criminal antecedents, I am not inclined to release the Petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is rejected.

The BLAPL is dismissed.

However, as prayed on behalf of the Petitioner, learned trial court is directed to take expeditious steps for early completion of trial, preferably by end of July, 2023.
