1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode. Order No.
2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Addl. Government Advocate for the State.
3. The Petitioner is the Chairman of Ramadevi Sishu Vihar School for Deaf and Mentally Retarded students at Cuttack. By order dated 17th August, 2017 the provision of Mid-Day Meal was extended to the School by Government in the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD). The same was also continued vide order dated 13th December, 2018 passed by the District Education
// 2 // Officer, Cuttack (Opposite Party No.4). It is submitted that the Mid-Day Meal has been stopped w.e.f. March, 2022 without any justified reason.
4. This Court finds that ventilating such grievance, the Petitioner has approached the Opposite Party No.4 with a request to resume the supply of Mid-Day Meal. The said representation appears to be pending.
5. Considering the limited grievance of the Petitioner and the fact that the representation is still pending before the competent authority, without expressing any opinion on the contentions raised before this Court, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Opposite Party No.4 to consider and take decision on the representation filed by the Petitioner, as at Annexure-6, and dispose of the same within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order or on production of certified copy thereof by the Petitioner.
6. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
