Heard Mr. Mritunjay Banerjee, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Satyabrata Panda, learned counsel appearing for NIOS, on whom a copy of the writ petition be served. 3.

The grievance of the petitioner is that she is a student under National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and had appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination held in the month of April, 2022 on regular basis and her result was declared for six subjects as per copy enclosed under Annexure-3. The petitioner claims to have appeared in another subject, namely, Painting on On-Demand basis. 4.

The petitioner is said to have appeared in the examination on 14th July, 2022. However, her result in the said subject has not been published as yet. The petitioner aspires to take admission in the ANM course for which admission are in progress and are to be

completed by 13th of this month. It is submitted that because of non-publication of her result in Painting examination, she is unable to apply for admission in the ANM course.

Mr. Satyabrata Panda, learned counsel appearing for the NIOS submits that if the petitioner had indeed appeared in the examination, ordinarily, there should be no difficulty in publishing her result.

Considering the rival submissions and without expressing any opinion on the merit of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the NIOS (opposite party No.2) to declare the result of the petitioner in the Painting examination held on 14th July, 2022 forthwith.

For immediate compliance, a free copy of this order be handed over to Mr. Panda in course of the day.
