This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode. 2.

This present contempt petition has been filed alleging that the order dated 25th November, 2020 passed in Writ Appeal No.263 of 2019, has not been complied with by the Collector and District Magistrate, Jagasinghpur regarding the claim of the Petitioners for rehabilitation under the provisions of Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014.

Mr. Jena, counsel for the Petitioners submits that the Collector and District Magistrate, Jagasinghpur has wrongly non-suited the Petitioners on the ground that no amount was deposited by the Petitioners, whereas Mr. L. Samantaray, Additional Government Advocate appearing for the Contemnors-Opposite Parties states that a speaking order dated 18th November, 2021 has been passed in due compliance of the order. The grievance, if any, of the

// 2 // Petitioners can only be assailed by initiating separate proceedings.

We have perused the order dated 18th November, 2021. We find that there was no willful disobedience of any order passed by this Court. The Petitioners, if still not satisfied, have a separate remedy to assail the order on whatever available grounds.

In view of the above, the CONTC is dropped.
