Heard learned counsel for Petitioner and learned counsel for the State-Opposite Parties.

The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "

Directing the opposite parties more particularly the Opp.Party No.2 (Collector-cumVice Chariman, Paradip Development Authority) to consider the case of the petitioner for promotioin to the post of Section Officer in terms of the Order dated 18.06.2019 passed by the Secretary, Paradip Development Authority (opp.party No.3) under Annexure-8 and to extend all benefits against the post of Section Officer from the date the post was created i.e w.e.f. 02.06.2017 within a reasonable time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court".

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that through highlighting his grievances, the Petitioner has filed a representation at Annexure-10 to the Writ Petition, before the opposite party No.2 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to take

// 2 // a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law and also taking into account the order passed under Annexure-8 within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
