2. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:
"to direct the opp. party Nos.1 & 2 to publish the result of the examination in which the petitioners had already appeared in terms of Staff Circular No.5 of held on 22.1.2012,33/2013 held on 23.2.2014,16/2014 held on 13.7.2014 and ultimately 19/2015 held on 13.7.2014. and direct to the opp. party No.1 & 2 to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Officers in Scale II w.e.f 17.9.2004 and to extend all service benefits attached to Scale II w.e.f 17.9.2004 alongwith other service emoluments."

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation at Annexure-23 to the Writ Petition, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
