Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 28.11.2020 in connection with Kaptipada P.S. Case No.322 of 2020 corresponding to C.T. Case No.850 of 2020 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Udala for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 302/201/34 of IPC.

It is alleged that the petitioner committed the murder of son of the informant. There are no eyewitnesses to the occurrence. The petitioner was implicated firstly, on the basis of his confessional statement before the police and secondly, on the basis of his disclosure statement leading to discovery of the dead body.

Having regard to the above and taking into account the period of detention in custody, I am inclined to allow the

prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial Court on each date of posting of the case without fail.

BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
