Heard Mr. Lalit Sahu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 2.

According to Mr. Sahu, the petitioner is aggrieved by action of the authorities, more particularly, the Project Director, Lower Suktel Irrigation Project, Balangir (Opposite Party No.5) in not releasing the balance amount of rehabilitation assistance in his favour as a result of which he is not able to construct a house of his own. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on 26.05.2022 under Annexure-5 series before the Project Director, Lower Suktel Irrigation Project, Balangir (Opposite Party No.5) and though the same was duly acknowledged on the same date, however, till date no action has been taken by the said Opposite Party on the above noted representation. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the said Opposite Party to take a decision on the said representation within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court

// 2 // directs the Project Director, Lower Suktel Irrigation Project, Balangir (Opposite Party No.5) to take a decision on the above noted representation under Annexure-5 series in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 5.

Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
