This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

This is an application under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed by the Petitioner for bail in connection with Lakhanpur P.S.Case No.236 of 2020, corresponding to C.T.(Session) Case No.31 of 2021, pending in the Court of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Jharsuguda for alleged commission of offence under Sections 397, 302, 201,120(B) of the Indian Penal Code. 5.
Learned Counsel for the Petitioner does not want to press this application at this juncture. However he prays for a direction to the trial court to expedite the trial.

Accordingly, the bail application stands disposed of as withdrawn. However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy
// 2 // of this order. The Petitioner is granted liberty to move bail application afresh if the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period of six months.

With the aforesaid observation the bail application stands disposed of.
