Ms. Mahapatra, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, her client made fixed deposit. It matured but the bank did not pay the proceeds. Hence, the writ petition. 2.

Mr. Niamati, learned advocate appears on behalf of the bank and submits, record reveals the proceeds were held back pursuant to request made by the Vigilance Department. On notice of the writ petition, his client wrote letter dated 14th July, 2022 to Superintendent of Police, Vigilance, Sambalpur Division. The division did not respond. He submits, in the circumstances order be made as deemed fit by Court.

The bank will forthwith disburse proceeds in the fixed deposit to petitioner. It must be done within two weeks of communication. 4.

The writ petition is disposed of.
