1. A counter affidavit has been filed on 19th January, 2021 by the Executive Engineer, Rural Works Division, Cuttack-II, Cuttack. A copy thereof be served on the learned counsel for the Petitioners during course of the day.

2. In the said counter affidavit, it has been categorically stated that the construction of road in the disputed portion has been stopped because of protest and obstruction by a group of villagers. Since the matter could not be resolved, it has been decided not to proceed with the construction and the agreement with the contractor has also been brought to an end.

3. In that view of the matter, no further directions are called for. The writ petition is disposed of.
