This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The grievance of the Petitioner in this writ petition is with regard to inaction of the Authorities in considering his application for allotment of vacant Slot No.17 from Bhubaneswar and Slot No. 168 from Balasore.

It is submitted by Mr. Mohanty, learned counsel that the Petitioner has made an application for temporary permit in respect of vacant Slot No.17 from Bhubaneswar and Slot No.168 from Balasore in respect of his vehicle bearing Registration No.OR-04J-4546 (Bus). While making his Online application, the Petitioner committed an inadvertent mistake by mentioning 16.52 hour in place of 14.08 hour in respect of vacant Slot No.168 from Balasore.

In that regard, the Petitioner made an application/representation to the Chairman, STA, Cuttack. He also submits that although the same was taken into consideration

// 2 // by the Committee, but no final decision has yet been taken on the same.

Mr. Behera, learned Standing Counsel for the Transport Department submits that the application of the Petitioner has been considered by the Committee and the same has been recommended to be considered along with other applicants/operators. Once a decision is taken in that regard, the same shall be communicated to the Petitioner forthwith. 5.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the authorities to take a decision on the application of the Petitioner with regard to allotment of vacant Slot No.168 from Balasore along with other applicants for the said slot as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result thereof to him forthwith. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
