This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The Petitioner being in custody in C.T. Case No.9 of 2020, arising out of G. Udayagiri P.S Case No.15 of 2020, pending in the Court of Special Judge-cum-Additional Sessions Judge, Balliguda, has filed this petition for his release on bail. The offences alleged against him is punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C)/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned counsel for the State.

As it appears from the materials available on record, the earlier prayer of the Petitioner for bail has been rejected looking into the materials on record on merit vide order dated 20th October, 2010 passed by this Court in BLAPL No.3257 of 2020. Now the

// 2 // Petitioner has again renewed his prayer for his release on bail in the present bail application.

Considering the materials available on record as well as limitation to grant bail under Section 37 of the N.D.P.S. Act, so also the earlier prayer of the Petitioner for bail has already been rejected, I see no merit on the contention of the Petitioner for his release on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail stands rejected. 6.

However, the trial Court shall do well to conclude the trial of the aforesaid case as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months hence.
