2. Mr. S.S. Kanungo, learned Addl. Govt. Advocate appearing for the State has produced the written instruction received from the I.I.C., Thakurgarh P.S.

3. We have perused that report. It surfaces from the said report that the victim was recovered from a place in South Goa on 15.07.2022 at 10 A.M. being aided by the Police personnel of Verna, Goa. Thereafter, the victim was brought to Angul, where her statements under Sections 161 and 164 of Cr.P.C. were recorded. From both the statements, prima facie materials of kidnapping and rape revealed and accordingly the police has registered a specific case for prosecuting the accused. After recovery of the victim girl, when the

// 2 // police approached the petitioner to take her custody, he denied to take custody of his daughter and in such circumstances, in order to ensure care and protection of the victim girl, they had approached CWC, Angul. CWC, Angul sent her to Swadhar, a children Home.

4. Mr. P.K. Pradhan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has not contested the facts as stated in the report.

5. In view of the above development, this proceeding stands closed and disposed of.
