Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following relief:

"It is therefore, prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit this Writ application, issue notice to the Opposite Parties, call for relevant records and after hearing the counsel for parties, the opposite parties be directed to re-consider/re-add the mark awarded to the petitioner in subject Odia in the third year examination of 'Shastri Stream' within a time bound period;

And, may further be pleased to pass any other order/order(s), direction/direction(s) as would be deemed fit and proper."

The petitioner is a student of Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya, Puri, where he was perusing his studies in regular Shastri stream since 2018. It is his case that he had appeared in 3rd year Examination held in the year 2021 and was declared as failed in the subject Odia, though the statement of marks do not show any marks having been awarded to him. The petitioner applied for readdition of the answer sheets by paying the required fee of Rs. 50/- on 22.08.2022 and on the same day he has also submitted a representation addressed to Controller of Examination of the University (opposite party no.2). It is submitted that no action has

been taken in the matter as yet.

Considering the limited grievance of the petitioner and the fact that necessary steps have taken by him for re-addition of marks as also the fact that the representation in this regard is pending with the appropriate authority, the writ petition is disposed of directing the opposite party no.2 to consider and take a decision in the matter as early as possible, preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order or on production of certified copy therefore by the petitioner.
