The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to grant gratuity as per the provisions of P.G. Act, 1972, which includes last pay with dearness allowances and grade pay as per the standing order.

As it appears, though the claim of the petitioner has been considered and the Law Department opined that the petitioner is entitled to get the gratuity as per the provisions of Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, but the same has not been extended in favour of the petitioner. Therefore, this writ petition stands disposed of directing opposite party no.1 to take appropriate steps for payment of gratuity to the petitioner in terms of the opinion rendered by Law Department on 15.04.2017 within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. 4.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
