Heard Mr. B. Rout, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. H.M. Dhal, learned Additional Government Advocate. 3.

At the outset, on the oral prayer, Mr. Rout is permitted to correct the description of opposite party no.5 in the cause title in Court today.

According to Mr. Rout, learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is aggrieved by inaction of the authorities in extending him the benefits of Orissa Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme by providing him an employment though he is eligible for the same as the lands of his parent and grand parent were acquired for Belpahara Open Cast Project by the Mahanadi Coal Field Authorities. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances the petitioner has filed a representation on 8.11.2016 before Chief

// 2 // General, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (opposite party No.5) under Annexure-2 Series and though the same was duly acknowledged, however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.5 to take a decision on the above representation under Annexure-2 Series within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Chief General, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (opposite party No.5) to take a decision on the above noted representation under Annexure-2 Series in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 7.
