This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the Petitioner that Petitioner is languishing in jail custody since the date of his arrest, i.e. 21.08.2020 and the police has already completed investigation of the case and charge-sheet has been filed against the Petitioner. Learned counsel for the Petitioner also submits that Petitioner is a newly appointed helper in the truck and he has no knowledge about the contraband ganja weighing 737 kgs., which has been recovered from the truck. It is further also submitted that Petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in the present case.

Considering the submission made and taking into consideration the period of detention of the Petitioner, this Court directs the trial court to conclude the trial of the case in T.R. Case No.51 of 2020 within a period of four months from today. In the

// 2 // event, trial of the case is not concluded within the aforesaid time, learned counsel for the Petitioner is granted liberty to file fresh bail application. In such event, the bail application shall be considered and disposed of in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observation, the bail application stands disposed of with liberty as prayed for.
