Heard Mr. S.P.Das, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.A.Das, learned counsel representing the National Highway Authority of India and Mr.S.S.Pradhan, learned Additional Government Advocate.

According to Mr.Das, learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is aggrieved by non-release of compensation on account of acquisition of his land, i.e., Plot No.763/2070 under Khata No.570/52 of Mouza:Nijagada, Kuhudi covering an area of Ac.0.180 decimals by the National Highway Authority for constructing the N.H.16. He further submits that though highlighting all her grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation on

04.01.2022 under Annexure-7 before the Land Acquisition Officer and Competent Authority, N.H.5 (New N.H.16) (opposite party No.2), however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opp. party No.2 to take a decision on the said representation within a specific time period. 3.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Land Acquisition Officer and Competent Authority, N.H.5 (New N.H.16) (opposite party No.2) to take a decision on the above noted representation under Annexure-7, in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. 4.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 5.
