1. Learned Advocate General has appeared and tendered an affidavit dated 30th November, 2022 of the Joint Commissioner Transport (Tech.), State Transport Authority in which inter alia in para 7, it is stated that the booking capacity of OEM Vendors has now been enhanced to 57,000 per day. The said affidavit is taken on record.

2. Learned Advocate General further makes a statement that the deadline for booking of slots for vehicle numbers ending 1, 2, 3 and 4 will stand extended up to 31st December, 2022. He further states that as long as a booking is done even if the actual HSRP plate has not been affixed, no coercive action will be taken against a person who has booked for such plate.

3. In view of the above statement, the Court does not consider it necessary to issue any further directions in the matter. It will be

open to the Petitioner if any further technical issues arise to apply to the Court for appropriate directions.
