Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to count his service from the date of his initial appointment, i.e., 02.08.1999 for seniority and other service benefits. 3.
Mr. S. Mallick, learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the case of the petitioner is covered by the judgment of this Court in the case of State of Odisha v. Niranjan Biswal, 2018 (II) ILR CUT 221. Therefore, this writ petition may be disposed of in the light of the aforesaid judgment.

In view of the above submission, this writ petition stands disposed of in terms of the judgment passed by this Court in the case of Niranjan Biswal (supra).
