On the oral prayer made by Mr. A. Kanungo, learned counsel for the petitioner, he is permitted to make necessary correction with regard to the description of the petitioner in the cause title. 3.
Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner.

The Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:- "to direct the opp. party no.2 to consider the representation dated 30.10.2020 under Annexure5, forwarded by IG/SES/H.Q./KOLKATA on 9.9.2021 and take decision to regularize the period w.e.f 6.7.2011 to 17.1.2020 with all the consequential benefits, keeping parity with Sri R.B. Kishtwar, CISF 7th Battalion, as indicated under Annexure-6".

He further submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation Annexure-5 to the Writ Petition, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to take a
// 2 // decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law and taking into account Annexure-6 within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.
