This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner.

This is an application under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed by the Petitioner for bail in connection with Bhadrak (Town) P.S.Case No.93 of 2021, corresponding to G.R. Case No.587 of, pending in the Court of the learned S.D.J.M., Bhadrak for alleged commission of offence under Sections 406,468,467,471,120-B of the Indian Penal Code. 4.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner does not want to press this bail application and prays that the trial court be directed to expedite the trial and the same be concluded within a stipulated period of time. He further submits that although trial Court has fixed the date of trial on many occasions, but adjourned the trial on the ground of absence of the informant, who is not appearing in spite of repeated summons. 4.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, while disposing of the bail application of the Petitioner as withdrawn, this Court directs the

// 2 // trial court to expedite trial and conclude the same within a period of six months and the trial court is further directed to take all coercive measures to ensure attendance of the witnesses in the trial. Further, the Petitioner is granted liberty to move bail application afresh if the trial is not concluded within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
